The plight of the pangolins epitomizes a conservation story of the 21st century,  these incredible creatures are in peril; they are world’s most heavily trafficked wild mammal with over 100,000 taken from the wild each year. This is more than rhino, elephants and tigers combined. Therefore all 8 species are threatened by extinction before most people have even heard of their existence. So it's surprising that pangolins have yet to receive the media attention that they deserve. Though there are some fantastic pangolin conservation projects currently being run by groups including the Save Vietnam’s Wildlife and the African Pangolin Working Group, there is still much we do not know about these mammals and there are large gaps which need to be addressed in global pangolin conservation.

...a newly formed NGO entitled People for Pangolins has launched the campaign #Pumpit4Pangolins! To find out more please follow this link (http://www.peopleforpangolins.org/-pumpit4pangolins.html) and it would be fantastic if you could help spread the word to make more of us aware of these fascinating mammals.

---The unique pangolin species have lived on our planet for approximately 70 million years.... only to end up being slaughtered to certain extinction for nothing more than human greed... please help save the pangolin. Pumpit4Pangolins savethepangolins pangolins
