Nutella-Stuffed Greek Donuts
The irresistible creaminess of Nutella combined with the fluff of Greek doughnuts makes these Nutella-stuffed Greek donuts an incredible treat. Ideal for dessert or breakfast
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast
Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy
Add melted butter, sugar, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture
Mix well
Gradually add the flour and knead the dough until smooth and elastic
Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness
Cut out circles using a cookie cutter or glass
Place a small spoonful of Nutella in the center of each circle
Fold the dough over the Nutella, sealing the edges to create stuffed donuts
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350F 175C
Fry the stuffed donuts until golden brown, turning them as needed
Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels
Dust with powdered sugar while still warm
Serve and enjoy
