Steamed Asari Clams

Steamed Asari Clams are a delicious and simple seafood dish that highlights the natural flavors of the clams. The combination of butter, sake, and scallions enhances the briny sweetness of the clams, creating a delightful and aromatic broth.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs asari clams, cleaned
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup sake
  • 2 scallions, chopped

Instructions:

In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat

Add the cleaned asari clams to the pot

Pour in the sake over the clams

Cover the pot with a lid and steam the clams for about 5-7 minutes or until they open up

Once the clams have opened, sprinkle chopped scallions over the top

Serve hot, garnished with additional scallions if desired
