Creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta with Andouille Sausage

With its rich and creamy sauce, this creamy Cajun shrimp pasta with Andouille sausage is a tasty dish that combines juicy shrimp with spicy sausage. Perfect for a special occasion or a filling dinner during the week.

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz Andouille sausage, sliced
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Cook linguine pasta according to package instructions until al dente

Drain and set aside

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat

Add Andouille sausage slices and cook until browned, about 5 minutes

Add minced garlic to the skillet and saut for 1 minute

Season shrimp with Cajun seasoning, then add them to the skillet

Cook until shrimp turn pink and are cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side

Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream

Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally

Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined

Add cooked linguine pasta to the skillet and toss until evenly coated with the sauce

Season with salt and pepper to taste

Sprinkle chopped parsley over the pasta before serving
