Mussels in White Wine
This classic dish features tender mussels cooked in a flavorful broth of white wine, garlic, and parsley. Its simple yet elegant, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a special occasion.
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds fresh mussels, cleaned and debearded
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions:
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat
Add minced garlic and saut for 1-2 minutes until fragrant
Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer
Add the cleaned mussels to the pot and cover with a lid
Cook for 5-7 minutes or until the mussels have opened
Discard any unopened mussels
Season with salt and black pepper to taste
Sprinkle chopped parsley over the mussels before serving
